ross76053 Posted January 21, 2003 Share Posted January 21, 2003 I know what you mean - I've seen very small molten pieces floating around my tank as well, but they don't look like mantis shrimp. I always thought they were the larger 'pods molting. But - I'm not sure. Link to comment
PFB Posted January 21, 2003 Share Posted January 21, 2003 Don’t worry about it. There are many species of pods, some the size of a pin head, some .25 inch long. I had the same concerns a few months back when I started noticing shrimp that looked like mantis. They just turned out to be harmless, at least to my corals, I am sure they dine on the smaller pods and what-not in the sand and macro. The molts just end up as food. Link to comment
