el pez
is there any combination of shrimp that can live in harmony? especially in a small tank? i love shrimp i think they are the most amazing part of a reef tank. for example, would a cleaner shrimp be able to co-exist with a peppermint shrimp or an arrow crab at that? thanks Link to comment
technoshaman
Yes but I would watch the arrow crab if you get them. They are pretty opportunistic and will eventually get big enough to catch and kill small fish and inverts. I would also avoid mixing Coral Banded Shrimp with anything else esp in a nano. Camelback shrimp have been known to munch on sessile polyps and other inverts too so if you want to keep corals at some point keep that in mind. I have peppermints and cleaners in my 46 gallon with 0 problems. Link to comment

whooozyooodady
You can do a bunch of sexy shrimp. They look really cool, and they do some fascinating things (do some reading on them). Link to comment
el pez
im thinking 2 peppermints and a skunk cleaner now. the 2 peppermints will spawn all the time so that will be good for feather dusters and other corals. Link to comment
Squishie
Another to caution of the harliquin shrinp they feed almost exclusively on starfish. If you want any starfish down the road they will get eaten. Link to comment
