aqua_aaron
what kind of flow rates do people have in their 2.5g. i'll be looking at raising soft and hard corals and am not sure how much water flow i should have thanks, aqua_aaron Link to comment
baj
As posted elsewhere: I have flow from a rio 50 (80gph) and a MJ 400 (about 100gph- I probably have some loss since its run on a CL) so I theoretically have 180gph on my 2.5g pico. I have some SPS and mostly softies. Link to comment
Fishfreak218
Hard corals as in SPS??? or LPS??? anyway in mine i use just the Aquaclear 20 IMO it is enough flow for the tank... i have: Mushrooms Rics Green Bubble Coral Macroalgea Green Frogspawn (partially bleached b.c. an Alk. problem from my main tank) 3 Feather Dusters 2 Blue Leg Hermits 1 Anemone Shrimp hth -FF218 Link to comment
Daemonfly
I beleive(I'm at work) the return pump on my true custom 2.5g is a MAG drive 1.9 190gph pump, actual flow is probably around 100-130gph. This is through a manifold/spray-bar type setup though, so the flow is broken up into multiple outlets vs one big overly-powerful stream. Link to comment
