Fabian Salcedo
Hi, I have been having problems with a reddish hair alga that is starting to create some bubbles. Can any one please recommend a clean up crew and from an inexpensive place? I am very broke since I just got some new lighting. Thanks a million hope all your aquariums continue to look great. ross76053
Fabian, Not trying to be a jerk, but you should probably be posting in the beginner's section. This is hardly an "advanced" topic. You need to find the source of your hair algae. It's probably high phosphates from your water. Do a search on phoshates here & on www.wetwebmedia.com. You'll find how important it is to keep your phosphate level at around .01 ppm. Link to comment
karlas
you could try some turbos but phosphates and nitrates can cause unwanted alge. are you over feeding? smaller more frequent water changes may help get rid of it. Link to comment
