babynano Posted January 15, 2003 Share Posted January 15, 2003 Hi, I just finished setting up my 3 gallon eclipse tank. I've done some mods. to the lighting by taking the old light out and put in a 13watt 5000k bulb. Do you think this will be enough for mushrooms and star polyps? Right now I only have 2lbs of live rock and just a cup full of live sand and 2lbs of reg sand. Not just reg. sand but soft sand. lol My other question is when I test the water will this be the same as my I do it on my 55 gal tank. I know that is kind of dumb question, or maybe I confused myself. Thanks for your help.... Link to comment
Dave ESPI Posted January 20, 2003 Share Posted January 20, 2003 yeah. take yer time and let tank run fer 2 months before adding corals. Testing is just like big tanks. Read some threads in beginners sections and look around on N-R.com.... there is a ton of great info hth Link to comment
