I have seen some rock that is really porous that 20 lbs would be too much for a 20 gallon, and I have seen some rock so dense that 20 Lbs will only fill up a 10 gallon. The more you pay the more you get is a good theory. ex a $9 per pound piece of rock will take up a lot more room than a $5 per pound piece of rock, because it is more porous, and better at its purpose.
