getting better with the camera and I love spsfrags.com

Let me start by saying Patrick sends top notch stuff. There was one slight error in the order and he immediately offered to resend the missing coral at his cost.

So, without further fanfare, let me show off some new shots. I think i got the camera pics down a bit better but I'm sure I can do even better when I take the time to read the manual.

Satchmo's Xenia. The blue is not really blue, it just looks that way. If he offers you xenia, put it in an isolated area and stand back as it grows like wild.

here's an acro frag that I picked up at a lfs. it started to die off and immediately recovered. nice and hairy but not much color. sadly, it is between two crazy xenia colonies and might suffer from overcrowding.

here are three of patrick's spsfrag deliveries. the one on the left is the tri color valida. the middle is the blue pulchra and the one in the back right is the hydno frag. sadly, you can't really see the color here.

here is a better shot of the hydno. real hairy and real green.

in the lower right is the green and purple acro, also from patrick at spsfrag.com.

jammed between two rocks is this little combo of three different zoo morphs and a shroom. the shroom was from a separate rock, the zoos? logically from logical reef.

Crakeur I have a question for you. I remember about like a month ago you made a post about this cool program that makes pictures smaller. Do you remember what its called. I really need to dl it. I need to resize my new tank pics.

THANKS A LOT

may try to do a sps tank since I now have a 250 watt metal halide ballast/bulb and a empty 10 gallon.

What are the specs on that kid and what do you feed him? Does he produce a lot of nitrates? J/k :) cute lil bugger

software for photo reduction - irfanview. free, just google it.

the kid is now three weeks and 3 days old. growing fast.

the tank still has some hair algae but I am noticing more halimeda starting to grow (thanks to a few tiny pieces on a zoo frag from Bryan) and a ton of bubble algae. going to have to get me a frickin emerald crab, a new lettuce nudi and, thanks to satchmo, some stoma snails.

While I know it ain't easy to tell, Sydney is a girl. Perhaps I should have posted the shot of her getting a bath. Only problem with that is Chris doesn't allow nudity and god help me if that shot ended up on some kiddie porn site.

yeah, Bryan, the pics don't do justice to the color of the spsfrags. The tri color has electric green polyps and a purple tip. the blue pulch is really blue and the purple and green acro is mostly purple still. That hydno is electric green.

I also have one of his montipora cap frags that is growing like wild. The purple rim is gone but the army green color is still there and now I have some yellow polyps mixed in with the army green. This thing was the size of a quarter when I got it and it broke in shipping. One frag died when I moved the tank, the other has grown over the glue and onto the base rock, as well as extended outward and now it is growing up toward the top of the tank.

I still need to work on taking macro shots to get close ups of the frags so that you can see the coloration.

All good things to those who wait.

Got some sleep last night as my wife took the 4 am feeding. I got the 8 am and what a treat. Made myself a protein/energy shake and a formula bottle for the tot and the two of us sucked down our powdered drinks together. She burped and went back to sleep. I burped and went to work.

it's ok. the many colors in my tank will fascinate her when she can see them. My 9 month old nephew loves the tank and tries to touch your zoos thru the glass, although my percula scares the #### out of him (he's a bit of a sissy, sucks his thumb and carries a chanille scarf like linus and his blanket). Whenever he comes over he crawls right to the tank.
