DLN
Are the Custom Sea Life "SeaLights" the best option for nano lighting? What model is best for an 18 x 18 x 12 tank? (I want to have support for corals and an anemone) Link:Custom Sea Life Inc. "SeaLights" Link to comment
DLN
Or would a 13" PowerCompact SmartLite Retrofit Kit be more efficient? Link to comment
kimura
It sounds like you have a 17g nano, and with that I'd go with the Model#22060 - 1x27w 67k & 1x9w Actinic. I've seen this setup before at Aquatic Warehouse, right before they took it down. But first of all what do you plan on keeping? There are other options of course but a total of 36w over 17gallons would give you 2.11w's per gallon. If that's the setup you're intending to purchase. Do a search and look into getting 3x13w bookworm lights or those work lights @ lowes. It may be cheaper and it will give you 2.29 w's per gal. I'm sure there at others here that have a lot more better Ideas then I do. Link to comment
DLN
As I stated in my first post, I plan on keeping corals, an anemone, and a true pair of clowns. Link to comment
DLN
Are you talking about this thing? Do they even make a At. Blue bulb that size? Link to comment
technoshaman
Smeg, they do indeed make blue bulbs in that size. I bought a few from www.ahsupply.com . I'm sure many of the other online retailers can get you 13w PC bulbs - try champion lighting or hello lights also. Link to comment
kimura
I've read the first post on corals and anemones, but many have different light requirements, when you used "corals" it was very vague. I myself keep light loving coral and a few low light coral in the small caves. That's what I meant. Here's a link to the 13w bulbs from hello lights: http://www.hellolights.com/13watacbul.html They also go into the differences on 03 actinic and 71k. Link to comment
