Best lighting option for a nano reef?

It sounds like you have a 17g nano, and with that I'd go with the Model#22060 - 1x27w 67k & 1x9w Actinic. I've seen this setup before at Aquatic Warehouse, right before they took it down.

 

But first of all what do you plan on keeping?

 

There are other options of course but a total of 36w over 17gallons would give you 2.11w's per gallon. If that's the setup you're intending to purchase.

 

Do a search and look into getting 3x13w bookworm lights or those work lights @ lowes. It may be cheaper and it will give you 2.29 w's per gal.

 

I'm sure there at others here that have a lot more better Ideas then I do.

I've read the first post on corals and anemones,but many have different light requirements, when you used "corals" it was very vague. I myself keep light loving coral and a few low light coral in the small caves. That's what I meant.
