kng
What is that to the bottom right on the coral? Is it Aiptasia? Link to comment
Christopher Marks
Looks like aptasia to me. Cool coral Jeff! Link to comment
jflysmooth
Yeah, it looks a lot like that. Dave said it wasn't aiptasia. I forget what the conclusion was, but theres a thread about it I'll try and dig up. Link to comment
jflysmooth
http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...=&threadid=6257 Hmm.. looks like it was inconclusive, however, I'd bet Dave is right. Link to comment
Jefe12234
Wow, that's a great photo! But isn't that a non-photosynthetic caribbean coral? I would think it's food requirements would be a bit much for a nano. And also, where did you get it? Caribbean stoney corals are illegal to import. Sometimes you get a couple incidental polyps on some live rock, but I don't think a large colony like that can be legally imported. Sorry if it sounds like I'm being negative, it's just an unusual coral to see. I've wanted to get one in the past, but didn't think it was possible due to the legality issue. -Chris Link to comment
jflysmooth
It came with the live rock. You can import it it if grows on your live rock. At least that's the rumor. It seems to be doing just fine in my tank. Its all open and pretty all the time. It was actually on a clam that was on the live rock. Clam didn't make it though. Link to comment
