kimura
Thanks for responding Mattdog. Well I've seen it move and it looks as if it has one really huge right claw. It's really really small, about the length of a man's pinky nail. Link to comment
cmoreash
Young pistol shrimp? i've got something sorta like this in my tank, and i hear popping ocassionally, i'm debating to hunt it down or not... Link to comment
kimura
You may be right cmoreash. http://www.etropicals.com/product/prod_Dis...=43&pCatId=1286 that's the site where it describes a shrimp with one large apendage. I think that it's too small tho for me to hear any click'n. Let me know how the hunt goes if you deceide to. Link to comment
Xavier
Mantis shrimp maybe? Is it very small? Seems to devoid of color to be a mantis though... Link to comment
kimura
Xavier: Yes, it's really small. I don't think it's a mantis tho??? BUT I wish it were:happy: It has a pinkish translucent color to it, and its claw is a more darker pink. I wish I had more pics of it. I can't find it now??? oh well, I guess i'll have to wait and see. Link to comment
sjpresley
It is NOT a mantis shrimp, I mean c'mon. If it does indeed have one large claw and one small one. It is a pistol shrimp. They are usually fine. It'll take up residence in a rock or dig a hole in the gravel under a rock. You just need to make sure it gets fed or it will hunt down something bigger (snail, shrimp, crab, fish). Link to comment
