BHRay
I put 10lb of LR in a 10g tank yesterday. Tank is 4 days old. Sand and aragonite substrate. Today the NH3 is .25 Is this a problem? Do I need to do a water change? Rock has coraline algae and little sponges growing on it. Do I wait? Do I need lights on for the LR or anything growing on the rock? Link to comment
Deimos
BH, Don't sweat it! Relax! You may want to throw lights over it though if you don't want to lose a bunch of photosynthetic life (never know what else is there)...I started my daylight cycle when my tank was "cycling" (okay..so my tank never truly cycled...the benefit of using cured LR and LS from an established local tank..)..and found that I had a really large GSP mat that came along for free on my LR. Relax..sit back..and enjoy! HTH... Link to comment
BHRay
I haven't purchased lighting yet since I'm still researching inverts and their requirements. All I have is a single 24" (tube length) 20W on a hood from an old 29g that I had. How long do you think I should leave it on per day? Link to comment
