Lighting a 5 gallon Hex

Are there anygood 50/50 that will screw in a typical 5 gallon Hex?

Is a standard size base, or the smaller type base?

and, how long is your space for a light? Coralife makes 20 and 10W 50/50's, but the 20W is really pretty long. I have that over my 2.5, and I have a 10W over my planted 2G hex. Both look fine, but to me, they don't seem to give out the light of even a standard screw-in spiral flourescent.
