tinyreef Posted January 7, 2003 Share Posted January 7, 2003 10g tank w/cover ($35) ro/di or distilled water plus good salt mix ($15.00) dry sand (let it seed slowly) ($10) dry rock (tufa or lava, also let it seed slowly) ($1.50/lb) cheap hob power filter ($20) heater ($15) total: $105 (10# rock) for your region you may be able to just sit it by the window for light or hellolights.com has a $59 PC kit. also whatever corals you eventually get will have small pieces of LR attached anyway (to seed your system). or maybe bum some LS or LR chips or pay for one premium piece. yeah, it's ghetto but it'd still work. the sunlight thing i'd have to try out tho but i don't live in florida or chile.
