Chamkeeper
I am in the process of cycling a FOWLR 30gal. I currently have about 20 lbs. 'dead' rock, and 2~3 lbs. of live rock. Filtration is from a Emperor 280 w/ biowheel intact. I have a small PH for added water movement. Because I am using a small amount of LR (vs. the norm) how does this affect my stocking of fish/inverts? I would like 3 Chormis and a clown, probably a goby, and if it is reasonalbe a gramma. Because this tank has less rock/more water, can I add more bioload and keep my biowheel to help. I will, of course, add these fish over time and as the dead rock becomes live. Also, how do snails, shrimp, and crabs from a cleanup crew figure into my bioload? How do I need to adjust the quantities of these to account for my limited amount of LR? I will in the near future upgrade my lighting and add a few 'easier' softies. Thanks. Link to comment
