kimura Posted January 6, 2003 Share Posted January 6, 2003 I've been dosing B-ionic daily on my 12g using 4ml of each. My parameters are: Nitrate - 0 Nitrite - 0 Ammonia - 0 PH - 8.0 CA - 450ppm salifert ALK- 7-8 dkh salifert I'm having good coraline growth on my rocks and now on my PH and everywhere else but the glass. I wondering if I should bump up my dosage of B-ionic. Maybe try 1 ml more then gradually move to maybe 7 ml's. Or.....try adding kalwasser to my top off...but first I need to make an auto top off. What do you think I should do? Oh I also use 1.2 ml's of Stro and Myo every 4 days as recommended and......Iodide 1.2ml's everyday. I've read here that some have had success with a higher ALK like 12 dkh, but I'm not too sure how to get it that high without trying to add more ALK from the B-ionic. I don't want to off-set the chemistry too much. I've read that it's a delicate balance and I should be careful with adding more ALK to Ca. Any thoughts on this??? Link to comment
