I dont know if this pic is clear enough but can someone tell me what this white puffy stuff is on top of my zoo rock? It just started happening yesterday and it looks almost like cobwebs.

Have'nt tried blowing it off yet, I will. Water is @ 79 Degrees, Alk is in normal parameter(the card I use just says high, low, normal), Ammonia is between 0 & 0.25, pH is @8.2, nitrate is @ 0, nitrite is between 0 & 0.05.

You mentioned in another post below about problems or concerns about your brain coral. IME the trachyphylia I have produces a mucus net periodically that has a very slimy thick consistency and is mostly transluscent. It is gooey enough to get blown around the tank and will stick easily to rockwork given a chance. Small bits of sand and detritus can become trapped in it. I usually try and remove it with a net if it's semi loose , it seems to freak out my shrimp and serpent stars when they blunder into it.
