iFish Posted January 3, 2003 Share Posted January 3, 2003 Is there a differnce between Mini & Maxi Jet pumps or are they made by the same manufacturer? The Mini that does 153gph is $17, but the Maxi that does 160gph is $16. Which of these is better quality? What GPH rating & brand pump should I get for an SPS/Clam tank? Is either of these better than the other? Should I use either (and which) on a regular ten gallon nano? Thanks, Michael Link to comment
SeaFish Posted January 3, 2003 Share Posted January 3, 2003 i am pretty sure the maxi and mini are the same company. i have both a maxjet and a mini jet. both are very good and very quiet. for somethingas compact as the mini jet, it provides a pretty good water current. the down side about the mini is you cant adjust the direction of the flow in your tank but you can adjust the output of the current and its size is compact. hope this helps. i also think both are very reliable. =) Link to comment
