luv2jeep
I win ... I win!!!! So, the evening of Dec. 22nd, my friend with a 350-Gallon took my last clownfish from my tank. Thus leaving me fish-less and only coral and a CBS. Which is good considering I was taking a 10-day vacation to PA for the holidays. I returned at 1AM yesterday morning and came home to a 1/2 empty 10-Gallon tank!!!! The evening we removed the clown, I removed a gallon of water and unplugged the top-off system. Like an idiot, I forgot to plug it back in! Over the last 2 days, I have slowly added water back as to not "shock" the salinity levels. The corals, CBS, and clean-up crew are slowly becoming MUCH happier! All softies are showing signs of recovery. I lost a Galaxy that was on the top and totally out of the water. I also lost 1/2 of my Pocillopora that was exposed. Question - Will the remaining Pocillopora tissue re-cover the bleached part of the skeleton? I hope it will repair itself ... I liked this coral! Anything I can do to "help" it's recovery? Moral of the story - DON'T LEAVE FOR VACATION IN A HURRY! Link to comment
