ricknbecky
Hey has any one know a frogspawn to detach his arm. I noticed a small green and pink mass in the middle of my gsp. Whn I moved the gsp to take it out and examine it the green thing fell off. it was then that I niticed it to be a small portion of a frogspawn arm. about a hafl cm long and with four pink bulbs like the tip of an arm pinced off. Is this a normal means of Reproduction for frogspawn. If so can I just super glue it to a rock so it will ancor in an appropriate place or just let it go in the tank and see where it takes up residence? Link to comment
Metznreef
my frogspawn did the same thing today. i wonder what it's doing? Link to comment
Rocket_155
it might be a spawing thing, maybe it's planting it's "arm" as a frag that might attack to a rock and grow into a new coral. Link to comment
Korbin
Mine does that from time to time. I don't think it has anything to do with spawning. (at least not for mine.) Once in awhile I'll see one laying on the substrate. It might have something to do with growth of the polyp though. Is the polyp dividing? I happened to be looking in my tank one day and saw a large arm float off of my frogspawn. It got sucked into the minijet and spewed fluorescent green bits all over my tank Link to comment
