arpanlib Posted January 1, 2003 Share Posted January 1, 2003 hi, i got a 25 gallon nano tank. i already have a clown and a damsel and want to keep small butterflies, specially the pakistani butterfly. i know they will out grow the tank, but i will shift them to the big tank. what should i feed the pakistani butterfly. i have some aptasia in my tank. will it eat them or not. and i normally feed tetra bits and some flake food to the damsel and clown. please advise. thanx for the reply in advance. arpanlib Link to comment

Dave ESPI Posted January 1, 2003 Share Posted January 1, 2003 do you know the latin name? That will help me as Im not sure which species you have. You are going to have to try a bunch of different things. Mostly meaty foods. I had limited success keeping some harder butterflies by smushing small quantities of food in dead coral heads like gonipora and euphylia species and freezing them. add it frozen to the tank and the fish will pick the food out of the heads as they would in the wild.
