It must be tall and have a fan because I will be running a 250W metal halide and I would hate to melt the acrylic! Or I could just say forget the eclipse 12 and junk it! I just liked it because I was thinking of drilling it and putting a 5g sump under a stand and using a mag3 for return. Link to comment
tgrupert Posted December 31, 2002 Share Posted December 31, 2002 why keep around a plastic tank? the nice part of the eclipse is the hood. so if you get rid of it you aren't really left with anything special. so you will work hard to make a hood for a tank that isn't all that great in the first place. kennerd Posted January 2, 2003 Share Posted January 2, 2003 I'd be curious as to how well the Eclipse acrylic holds up to MH heat. The smaller acyrlic tanks are quite a bit thinner than the larger tanks, as far as I've seen. If you haven't spent the $$ on the tank yet, I'd opt for a glass tank, but if you've got it, what the heck?!? Link to comment
