Coral Growth under Actinics?

well, I"ll tell you what...I had a xenia under a 10W standard flourescent bulb in a 2G tank at about 80*. I just put him back in my 5.5G tank (identical parameters), and put my newly bought (for the 2.5G contest) 50/50 mini compact in a socket and hung it over the tank.

In the 2G, even though it was warmer and he technically was getting enough light, he was getting long and stringy and was not pulsing...in the 5.5G, within 30 minutes, he was pulsing again and had regained some of his color...after being in the 2G for a couple days.

I'd go for it.
