HuBu
from most of the pics you guys have posted, all of your SB are clean and white. how are you guys keeping it clean? Link to comment
Dave ESPI
Mine are mostly cobered with coraline algae chunks, but crews and lots of worms keep my few sand bed tanks clean. Occasionaly siphoning near the surface of the sand durring a W/C helps too. Good cross current water flow helps a lot. Link to comment
HuBu
thing is that i hate hermits, i had hermits before, and they killed most of my snails. i might consider adding a brittle star to help. by worms, do you mean those spaghetti worms? Link to comment
Dave ESPI
There are thousands of annelid species, but spags are good yes. Have you tried cerith and nasscarus snails or Orange foots? there are a LOT of good snails that clean up. I generaly keep my crab load small or get "Pinhead"(tiny) hermits. Link to comment
HuBu
yeah now i have one blue leg hermit in there, i m a nice guy, hence why i havent tossed his a$$ out yet. ill probably get some more mexicans, heard they are good against cyano. dont know if its any true. Link to comment
Trag
Hermit Crabs are like wild cards...never know what your gonna get Inconsistent factors produce inconsistent results Go with worms fo shoo- Spaghetti Worms, Bristle Worms Mini brittle stars are kewl, maybe they will spawn ? Fighting Conch if tank is big enough, if not few nassarius snails Theres tons of choices... Link to comment
logicalreef
I've been very impressed with queen conchs...even more so than the fighting conchs. FWIW. Peace, Bryan Link to comment
Chromis
My queen conch is great ... just cleans the sand all day. Spag worms, bristle worms, and tiny brittle stars help out as well in my tank. Link to comment
