cenzo
Being this is in glass and the 13 watt I have is over my tank with no glass would this help my temp swing out? http://www.stacksandstacks.com/html/60014.htm Link to comment
ross76053
That's a good question. I still can't figure out why 13 watts of lighting heats up your tank so much. Maybe it's your powerhead? How many do you have running? Anyway, Glazer is using the bookworms - check the following link: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...=&threadid=3129 Link to comment
cenzo
Im lifting the lid on my eclipse when the lights are on so im at 78 with the lights off and 82 with the lights on a little better. I think its getting hot being their is a little space for heat to get out of the tank and the lights are over the water and not glass? Thats the only thing I can think of Im looking into a small fan the ones for PCs but the only thing is I dont know how to make it so it could plug into the wall? What would be a ok swing in temp off by 4 to 5? Link to comment
LiQuiD
4 degrees is not bad for the size. At least it is better then the 10 degree swings you were having. Alot of the heat from the bookworms comes from the plug, although the bulb spits out heat as well, this is why I asked what kind of light you had in your last post, if the ballast is in your hood that could be a problem.
