The_Rocket
I am considering doing the 2x28 PC retro like found on the inlandreef web site "http://www.inlandreef.com/eclipse.html" I have an eclipse 1 hood and they use an eclipse 1 twin light. Does anyone know the difference between the two. I compared their pics to my hood and they look the same size thanks Link to comment
LiQuiD
Then chances are they are the same. They will fit. In fact you can squeeze (key word is squeeze) a 2 bulb setup in the hood with the single bulb setup, so if you can "squeeze" them in the singe, the double would be a piece of cake. I don't know what they are charging for that setup, but it sure seems like alot of work. Custom Sea Life makes a 32 watt retrofit made for the eclipse (complete with on/off switch for the rubber button on the hood) and with a 50/50 10,000k/actinic bulb for $49.00 (average online price). No cutting or splicing wires. 2 of these would be brighter and easier, and who knows, maybe even cheaper. To check them out, go here http://www.customsealife.com/NewFiles/smar...lite-retro.html Link to comment

From what I saw they didn't sell off of above website. Where would you suggest buying them from? Thanks in advance Link to comment
LiQuiD
Do a search, there are several online retailers but I can't think of any off the top of my head. Maybe thatpetplace.com. You may even be able to have your LFS order them. Link to comment

But I can tell you that they are in the ballast section under all the fluorescent light fixtures. Its supposed to be for a 27 watt circline fluorescent light. Link to comment
The_Rocket
If you check out the website http://www.inlandreef.com/eclipse.html I think the ballast number is on there. Link to comment
