Dave ESPI
Can I borrow yer LoLerskates some time? Yes. NO actinisc have a more florucine effect on some corals. NO's are ok, but as supplements. I wouldnt reccomend them as a sole source of actinic 420-50 nm range light. NO also are badly weakened after 3 months >Hence replacement. Link to comment
Nishant3789
cool, well i saw these really cool lookin actnics at teh lfs, though they may have been VHOs they were an almost violet colour, they gave of brilliant light and were very very pretty! today i baught a 15 watt actnic to go in my undercabinet fixture on my tank, it erally makes things look better and supplements well witht eh 6500k PCs. btw i also setup a moonlight made out of a single LED, it looks GREAT! ant puts out a good amount on light and it gives taht BEAUTIFUL shimmering effect that MHs do. in total is cost me bout 5 bux but i already had an AC adapter. the LED is a blue one that is rated at 2600 mcd (what does mcd stand for?) 20 min amps and 50 max amps, and 3.7 volts. i used a 4.5 volt AC adapter and a 47nmh resister and plugged it all up. the thing about this LED is that it gives off only a 30 degree light area so its alot like a spotlight almost. ill post pics later. oh yea and the LED is at a 468 nm range. nishant Link to comment
