sjwalton
okay heres the deal, i got a green ricordea frag at a local reef meeting about a week ago. i came home acclimated it and put it in my 7g minibow on the sand at the bottome of the tank in full view of the 32watt 50/50. It opened up for all of one day. It stayed closed for the next couple days. I figure it didnt like that spot, so i moved it to a slightly shady spot spot, it opened up a little but refuses to open anymore. There are only like 10 of the hundreds of little bubble looking things open. Any suggestions as to why or where i should try and move it? Do these little buggers not like current or light or what? I was under the impression they were pretty versatile in where you could put them which is why i got ricordea. Help. Joshua Link to comment
Satchmo
They are pretty adaptable, IME. Ricordeas appreciate much more lighting than most other shrooms. I have mine in direct light without problems. Try placing it on a rock so it can attach. I've never heard of anyone placing them in the sand. Link to comment
Inpha
Yah... my green ricordea like doubled in size... both width... and size of tentacles when put in direct light (2/3 to the top of a 10 gal under 2x36....) Link to comment
