junglejim83
Although, my setting up my 25g tank is at least 6 months away i was just pondering some lighting issues. A 25 g tank is 20" high. Do you think 3*55w pc's would be enough(i will eventually want to keep lps, and maybe even lps and clams). I know if i follow that watts per gallon I'll have about 6.5w/g but i also know the deeper the tanks get the less that crap means. or do you think as long as i placed that light loving stuff up higher it wouldnt be a problem??? -Jim- Link to comment

junglejim83
I would probably use 2 10000k 55's and 1 03actinic 55 Link to comment
lizbeth
Sounds good to me. I use AH Supply 2x55 on my 20 and I'm happy with them. Link to comment
Trag
The most I ever used on that size tank was 6700k- x2 (Bright Daylight) 7100k- Actinic was very bright, I luved it Link to comment
BCOrchidGuy
I doubt your clams will thrive under that light, as long as your LPS are close to the surface they should be fine. CSL has a 65 watt version of the smart light available, should still fit your tank and I think it would be a better choice.... but still not for clams. Link to comment
kimura
If you're gonna try a clam, I've read somewhere in the Knop book that they like 65k lighting. So if you wanted I'd try a 1x10k 1x65k and 1x03/71k. The lighting amount is fine:) Good luck with that:D keep us posted! Link to comment
