junglejim83
I was at the LFS today buying some LR, and i saw this freaky looking crustacean. It was about 6" long and it looked almost like a huge pill bug (or wood lice)crossed with a mutant crustacean. It was olive green in color an it didn't seem to have claws, but it had some pretty nast looking jaws. My first look was at its underside so it scared me even more. The owner said it was some kind of lobster but i dont know if he was full of $#!+ or not. Any ideas on what it may have been? Jim Link to comment
SteveC
Hmmmm... Are you sure it didn't have claws, maybe tucked up really close to its body? Folded together, kind of like a praying... oh, what's that bug called? Link to comment

SteveC
They get over a foot long. Then they come looking for you. Link to comment
SteveC
Although what you're describing might be a shovelnose lobster. Did it look like this? Link to comment

Satchmo
I've seen those labeled as "slipper lobsters". They do look frightining. Jim, that place across from Rainbow on 23 has them, along with a bunch of other funky, oddball crustaceans. Link to comment
