MartinG83
I would like to seriously "beef up" the lighting in my 20 gallon aquarium. I currently have only 15 watts of lighting. I bought a new ballast which will hold two more 15 watt bulbs making for a total of 45 watts. However, to my dismay, the powercord (original for the 15 watt that came with the aquarium) which I spliced this ballast into has one of those large square adapters on the end and limits the wattage to 15-20W. Obviously, it's only able to start one bulb. What do I need to buy? If I were to guess, I bet I have to buy a 40-50 watt starter and use a regular powercord (No adapter). Link to comment
MartinG83
I figured it out. The balast had the starter in it, but the 15 watt adapter had to go. I just spiced on a regular power cord. Link to comment
