pimpndistress
I have a 24g nano. Its been running a while and when i got it the lid shut perfect. Now afetr its ran a while with the lights on and off it seems to be lopsided and has a gap when it shuts. Is this normal? Should I be worried? Its actually kind of un attractive. Link to comment
f23power
its very possible that the heat produced by the lighting warped the lid a little. check to make sure your vent holes arent blocked and the fans are working. other than that..nothing to worry about Link to comment
pimpndistress
Yea it just leave like a 3/16 or so gap lopesided and you can see the light through it. Just really kinda tacky. Link to comment
spark
I got this idea off a thread - used insulation tape along the top of the tank so there is no gap. Bought it at Lowes. Worked well. Link to comment
doncb
I doubt the lamps warped the lid. More likely is a cord for the pump, heater, etc is getting pinched at the back. Had it happen lots of times on mine and it does exactly what you describe. I just raise the lid up and make sure all the cords are in the right place. Link to comment
Ricky@3rdshift
Nah we checked that. It has nothing holding it up. i noticed the hinge arms don't appear to be even when they open and close. Link to comment
