Prophet Posted September 13, 2005 Share Posted September 13, 2005 I was doing my weekly cleaning of the tank and I noticed a molt from a crab. Never noticed this guy in my tank and I still have not found him the past couple of days. Can anyone ID this for me? Good or Bad? Link to comment

yoshiod9 Posted September 13, 2005 Share Posted September 13, 2005 more than likely it's a mithrax sp. if you look closely i'm sure he has pointed little claws. those are made for ripping apart your precious zoos and softies(among other items...such as favorite fish)...find him and take him out. a good method is the drinking glass method. lean a drinking glass against a rock in your tank at a steep angle and throw a piece of shrimp into the bottom of the glass. hopefully the crab will go into the glass and not be able to crawl back up the smooth sides. goodluck.
