4251c
Just bought some Bali LR from the lfs, one is a entirely purple bumpy rock. Noticed 4-5 off-white stalks (tubes) attached to the rock. Being my first time (like an 12 year old) thought I saw orange "hair" at the tip of one. Looked again these "hairs" were gone. So, staring at it every 5 seconds or so these orange hairs would poke out of the stalk about 1/16 of an inch. These stalks are only an 1/8 of an inch long, but as a newbie am I to fear this, or could it be the beginnings of a coral of some type. I have a pic of the rock but need advice how to get close-ups with the digital camera. Thanks. Link to comment
beezerv
Sounds like it might be feather duster worms. Do a search for that and you should find some pics. If it is they are harmless from what I know. Link to comment
