My friend who had a beer poured in his fish tank has given me the live rock, anenome, pepperment shrimp, turbo grazer. The question I have is the piece of live rock he gave me was covered in red slime alge and my water was perfect before I put the rock in but the slime has not gone away and was wondering how do I ride my tank of red slime.

I used to go to a yoga class where the teacher believed yoga could cure anything. I guess some people believe that about beer.

 

Check your alkalinity. I've noticed cyano doesn't seem to do as well when the alkalinity's up (but still within acceptable parameters).
