PaulP
I am re-mod'ing my 12OG with a new 2005DX hood I purchased from NanoTuner's and need some clarification with the wiring. I plan to use my own design, dual ballast w/ 12v supplies, all are on timers. I do not have a DX dual ballast to inspect or reverse engineer. It appears the power supply to the DX hood is two 5 wire cords. Four wires of each cord serves as the high voltage supply to each bulb. I think the fifth wire in each hood supplies one side of 12 volt AC. There is a voltage rectifier on the small circuit board to change it to DC. Can anyone confirm that 12vAC runs thru these two wires? The hood also has a switch on the hood. Looks like that only turns off the LED's and has no other purpose. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks Paul P Link to comment
ccjung
hi paul: Here is the wiring colors for the hood when wired with a pony x26 series ballast.: HOOD SIDE BALLAST SIDE Blue blue White blue Black Red Brown Red Green = DC power (rectifier corrects polarity). Hope this helps Chris Link to comment
