water change Posted September 7, 2005 Share Posted September 7, 2005 I just received a 12G DX. Included inside the main tank body is a white box that apparently contains the ballast. What I can't figure out is how to get that box out of the tank! The width of the box is just about the width of the tank so it gets stuck on the hood lip if I raise it straight up. And there's not enough space to rotate the box in any direction. Am I the only one who's faced this dilemma? I don't want to put any stress on the glass by forcing the box to rotate in a different direction (although doesn't look like there's enough of a space cushion for this to be successful anyways).
