anyone know what this is, its growing realy fast, i think its some type of red algae but im not sure?

I have lots of that. Its a macro algae...actually a type of grassillaria if I remember correctly. I IDed it once...forgot exactly. It will make a little clump, like a ball...and when conditions get less favorable it will look like its calcifying and just break off and drift away. Harmless, and kinda cool looking.

Yup, some macro. I'm sure somebody knows the name, but it doesn't matter...Just give it good light and flow and encourage it to grow. It's pretty, and harmless! Get rid of that hair algae, though.
