Plumbing a 12b NC into my existing reef?

Thinking about placing a 12g NC right next to my 65g reef tank.

 

Wondering how I can go about plumbing it by placing a pump (mag 5 or so) in my sump and running it up to the NC, then having a return back to the same sump. What sort of drilling, etc should I do?

 

There will be nothing beneath the NC in the stand except for electrical
