lbfc
I have a friend that wants to swap me a maxima clam for some zoos. It's a nice clam but I'd hate to contribute to its demise. I have an established 30 long. The lighting is a 30" formosa dx with a total of 130 watts (2 65 watt bulbs). Is that enough for a maxima clam? Link to comment
Perpetual98
The maximas are one of the higher light requirement clams. A good rule of thumb would be the prettier the clam, the more light it wants. You'll probably need some halide lighting. Check out www.clamsdirect.com (I think that's what it is) They have a good forum over there. Link to comment
