BCOrchidGuy
Well I changed my lighting on my 72 today to the Custom Sealife Compact fluorescent retro kit. It was dead easy to install and it works well. I got two 96 watt smartlites and am really pleased with the way they look. Expensive though @ $159.95 each I could have gone MH and CF for the same price but it would have been more work as I would have had to build a new hood etc. So I'm pleased with the CF, btw for the folks that are using the homedepot lights, Home Depot here doesn't carry any CF tubes that have decent colours. Here our choice is 2700k or 4100k, good for algae and thats about it. Link to comment
Pikelet
CSL products are fairly expensive but they seem to have their act together. When you have many other design issues to work out. its sometimes worth paying a little extra and going with a quality retro kit. Link to comment
BCOrchidGuy
It was the simplest thing to do. Just two screws and bang, the sealed end caps are a nice touch. My tank looks really ballanced and bright. Link to comment
