The directions state that it can be regenerated by soaking it in bleach, etc. What the directions do not state is, how long does this product last before you need to purchase a new one. Does anyone know? Also, what is the general census on this product? I had read a lot about Purigen and from what I have read it seems like a decent product. Link to comment
yoshiod9 Posted August 16, 2005 Share Posted August 16, 2005 i've used purigen for the past couple of years with no problems. purigen is exhausted when it no longer 'bleaches' out. i choose to only recharge the purigen one time because it's not a very expensive filtration media. my tanks are usually fairly clean though...so one pouch of purigen usually lasts me at least 6 months.
