What kind of algae do you think it is?

It could just be a carribean/atlantic species of coral or another benthic invert that no one keeps becasue you can't buy them.

More than likely one of three type of rock: Kalien, Tonga branch, Or marshal Island. That particular species of algae glows orange and red under actinic lighting. I am unsure of it name though but have some of my own in just about all of my tanks.

Some forms are leafy like that and some take on littl buble that later flatten out.

I've seen plenty of bright-red algaes, just for the record. Not sure what it is, but I'm guessing it's vegetable matter.

Yes it does. Wait until you see the red bubble type with the hot flourescent orange hue to it! You will flip.

I seen some red bubble stuff stuck to the intake of my maxijet, but not sure if thats what it was. It should still be in the tank somewhere.

BTW, who's Pedro'?
