blane perun
I am interested in any input from reefers that have attempted manipulating the below variables to enhance growth in coral, or just general observations. Ex: (My Leathers do better at 8.1 PH than 8.5) I have 5 dedicated systems and I am interested in tweaking The environment in each to make it ideal for it’s inhabitants. My base parameters to manipulate Temp Salinity PH Tanks - Systems SPS Leathers Zoanthus / Palythoa Discosoma / LPS Sponge / Gorgonian Link to comment
tinyreef
for softies and polyps, i've noticed faster growth at the higher temps (i.e. 80F+), i'd guess from the faster metabolisms derived from the temp. however, fuller blooming and expansion does not always equal good health ime. i do gauge true coral growth as a key health determinant tho. for the filter feeders i would go opposite tho. the cooler environment and some low water motion should allow plankton to develop into the food chain imo. blane perun
I was wondering that myself I thought for the Zoanthus and palythoa mayeb 80, and for Gorgs, Sponge Dendro's 77 maybe even with a higher salinity like 1.026.5 Link to comment
