Coralife bulb good or bad?

I have a 3 gallon eclipse. I just bought a Coralife bulb to replace the one it came with. I would like to see if anyone had any input on these bulbs. On the box it said for freshwater but it adds a little bit of the actinic look to the tank. Is this a good bulb? And is this the best I can do with out modifing the hood? Thanks

The bulb should be fine.....the spectrum is cool. That is probably as good as you can get without hood modifications.
