xenia in my 2.5

I just attained some pulsing xenia in a trade with a local reefer and put it into my 2.5. It's on it's own rock, seperated from the rest of the tank.

 

Just how fast will it grow? It's about 20 polyps right now.

 

Will it stay on it's own rock if it's a fair distance away from the next rock (1.5"+)?

 

Anyone got some Xenia in their pico they could post a pic of?

I have xenia in my 12g nanocube. And it took over 2 big rocks in my tank (the whole left side). Depending on what kind you have my Pink can stretch up to 3"-4"s and find a new rock. It can grow fast, 3 weeks ago I fragged out $70 (lfs store credit) worth of xenia, and it has already grown back.

 

I wouldn't put it in my 1/2 gallon Pico. But you should be fine jsut keep an eye on it. And frag often

under the right light and flow, the stuff is like a weed. keep fragging it or it'll grow on everything. had some try and attach to my powerhead last month!
