phergus_25
The first one I am shure its some sort of a chalice, but what kind would be cool to know. It was under 10K in the store so under my 20K I expect to see some better color. mouths are open due to just being fed. And here is the mystery. It seems bleached but it was under the same light as the other and has been like this for a year or so. he just gave it to me on a trade so I'm intrested to see. it seems to be either aencrusting ot odd elk horn type of favites to me but I hope yall know more. there could be a frag for whoever tells me the name. ha ha here it is. MaryHM
Second one is an Australogyra. First one is either an Oxypora, Echinopora, or Echinophyllia. I get them mixed up and don't have my coral books here at home. Link to comment
Chase
I have no idea, but the first thing is really cool. What did that thing cost? How big is it? Link to comment
Caesar777
I'd agree that the first one is one of those three...It's so hard to tell, lol! Definitely cool. On the second colony, Australogyra seems VERY close... It's so close to Favites halicora... BUT it doesn't have the ridges. What a mystery. Link to comment
Caesar777
Ah, the Australogyra is a Faviid. Link to comment
Caesar777
On a side note: Wow, a branching Echinopora. Unique. Link to comment
