kindaobsessed
Wondering what's a good rule for iodine dosage for a 12g Nano with a couple of hairy mushrooms, a decent size pulsing xenia,a nice hammer coral, a skunk shrimp and two mated clowns? It seems like it might be around a drop or two once every two weeks...I do a 20% water change every two weeks. Everything is doing quite well, but read adding small doses of iodine help the inverts. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance Link to comment
randygsx
I have a ton of hermit crabs and snails as well as a peppermint shrimp in my tank. I go through about 1/2 drop of iodine a month with weekly water changes. Make sure you get an Iodine test kit before you do any dosing! ~randy Link to comment
jedininja
With 2 clown in there, I would up the water changes to weekly and dont worry about the iodine dosing. The water changes will take care of it with any ood salt. Are you testing for iodine? If not ou do not know its consumption rate and you risk easily overdosing and killing off your tank.
