procell
Hi all , just picked up this mushroom earlier tonight , anyone know the real name ? "Mushroom rock" was about as helpful as the LFS person could get. Sorry for the blurry pics , and the white things around it i assume are from the stress of transport. Thanks Link to comment
stoney waters
I have one just like it. It was sold as, Lime Green Hairy Mushroom. Link to comment
procell
what does it seem to like? Low light , low flow? Link to comment
Caesar777
It's a Rhodactis species, and it'll grow very large very fast. Likes being out in the open, I'm sure any flow is fine. They're ee-z to keep. Link to comment
stoney waters
Mine seems to open up larger in a lower flow. Its on of my brightest specimens under actinics. Link to comment
Caesar777
Definitely one of the brightest greens out there. I bet it'll develop more green and less brown, too, given the right conditions (enough light and flow--just no direct flow). They're NICE shrooms. Link to comment
procell
think it's worth 10$? Main shroom is about the size of a half dollar , and theres 2 smaller dime sized ones on the rock. to be honest it was an impulse purchase , but i remember reading most shrooms are easy to keep. figured what the hell. Caesar777
Yeah, sure, ten bucks is good. Shrooms sure are easy. (Though Yumas can be temperamental.) Link to comment
