air_doc28 Posted June 30, 2005 Share Posted June 30, 2005 it's been about 5 weeks now that my reef has had no fish as it has been under quarantine for ich which had lkilled a clown goby. I've already treated with kick ich as well. is it safe for me to add fish back at this pointActually is it ok to add a clam now without fear of it sucummbing to ich? i'm not sure if clams are susceptible to ich. thanks for your help! Six Posted July 17, 2005 Share Posted July 17, 2005 if there is any disease in a tank, do not add anything new. crypt (marine "ich") is almost always caused by stress, usually stemming from water quality or environment. the clam cant get crypt, but it can still be stressed out by the same causes that are effecting the fish. hth, i didnt understand your post entirely. gl Link to comment
