spankey
I have some of this xenia in my tank. I bought some live rock from a guy awhile back and this hitch hicked on it. Its NOT elongata.. This xenia is entirely pink and solid pink from stalk to feather... Elongata is pink at the base to the stalks but the feathers are purplish... Can anyone ID this stuff? Iwould love to know what type this is... Thanks.. Spankey EDIT Here are some more pics.. Here is my pink xeina in question? Here is my elongata As you can see there is a difference? Anyone Know??? Angel
Looks like it could be red sea pulsing xenia aka Xenia umbellata to me. Looks like it is reaching for the light, making it skinny and long instead of short and stubbly, almost pom-pom like, as it should be. Link to comment
Caesar777
NOT umbrellata. If anything, it's elongata. FloorLord, many types of Xenia come from the Red Sea. Link to comment
ktownhero
That is definitely not "Red Sea" Xenia, not remotely. Here is a bad pic of my Red Sea: Link to comment
Caesar777
Exactly. I was going to look up a pic, but you took care of it for me! Link to comment
